Clay Wolfe

Poem – Aphasia

Clay is a grade 12 student, poet, actor, and artist from Shawnigan Lake who has recently been accepted to study visual arts at UVIC. He occupies his time with the plethora of theatre productions put on at his school. In his spare time, he produces a magazine called “Bernard’s Business,” which follows his cat Bernard’s fantastical campaign for presidency. “He is my greatest role model in life,” Clay boasts.

Clay is first and foremost a storyteller in his creative endeavours, which tends to seep its way into his poetry, preferring to tell fantastic stories with an undertone based in uncomfortable reality. Clay is influences the most by Lewis Carroll’s poetry, as well asMaurice Sendak, and Tove Jansson.
